Island born, educated at Ryde School, trained and qualified in 1973 with BDO Stoy Hayward in London. Returned to join John Harrison in partnership in 1984. Very wide experience in dealing with business and private clients of all sizes with specific specialisation in the Marine and Yachting Sectors, as well as hotel and leisure based industries.

Liz joined Harrison Black as a trainee and qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant in 1997. Liz is responsible for a substantial portfolio of clients specialising in Audit and Accounts preparation. Additionally, she also deals with a large proportion of our client outsourcing services. Liz became a director in 2002.

Ian has been with the firm for over 20 years and has considerable experience in a wide range of matters. As head of the small business department, Ian is likely to be an initial point of contact for many new business clients. Ian became a director in 2002.

Kevin's tax career started in 1975 with the Inland Revenue. After 12 years he left the Revenue and joined the tax department of a medium sized accountancy firm in Surrey. Kevin then joined Harrison Black as their Tax Manager in 1988 and specialises in all aspects of personal and capital gains tax plus Trusts and Lloyds Underwriters. Kevin became a director in 2002.

Gemma joined Harrison Black in 1995 and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2001. Gemma handles a broad range of incorporated and unicorporated businesses dealing with audit and accounts preparation. Gemma became a director in 2004.

Andrew joined the firm in 1995 after gaining a degree in accountancy from Bournemouth University. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2001. Andrew has a significant portfolio of clients ranging from sole traders to medium size companies and specialises in offering support, taxation and business advice. Andrew became a director in 2004.

John trained with Price Waterhouse in London, after a science degree. He qualified in 1973 and moved to the Isle of Wight to create the partnership of Hutchinson Harrison in 1974, which later merged to form Harrison Black. John specialises in tax and business investment planning, benefiting from 30 years expertise a partner in the firm.
